 This story is tells you about what electric cars a capable of and how they have evolved over 100 years. Our teacher made us read this book so we can make a T.I.P chart and summarize it.Here is my T.I.P chart about electric cars and parts.

JS one hundred word challenge

One regular morning I woke up to find myself on the floor. I looked around the room and my bed was gone. I looked all around the house and I didn't find my bed then I saw a little white, minuscule, bug. It was levitating In the middle of the hallway. 

The minuscule bug seemed like it was gripping a miniature version of my bed. I couldn't think of  what to do. So I snatched the calendar from the wall and I whacked the bug. It fell on the floor and my bed had returned. The floor had got sticky so I put it in the washing machine.

Our classes assembly

Last Friday our class had a assembly we showed our calendar art and did a play. For our calendar art we made a silhouette of a place that we like. I made a silhouette of the sun beaming down at the water and it looks like it is reflecting off the water.  Sorry I do not have any photos to show you.

How perimeters work

                                                    WALT calculate the perimeter of a shape

This lock down I have learnt about something called perimeters. How a perimeter works is like this. first you have to find all the sides of an object then you measure them and write down the measurements of the shape or object on a sheet of paper or a device. then you add all of the numbers together once you have done that you will have the perimeter of the shape

What I did in quarantine

 Wednesday 18th August. We got put back into quarantine I was so exited (Little did i know it was going to be so boring). Day one of quarantine I just sat on the couch and played video games. Pretty boring. Day two I sat on the couch played video games and I went on my motorbike It was a bit better. And today I am writing this blog on the table. I wonder what awaits me tomorrow.

Blogging about Banqer

WALT: Use financial literacy

On Monday Miss Broadwith introduced to us a new platform called Banqer. Banqer is a new website to our school. It teaches you about how you spend and save your money. And at the end of the term we can spend our money on fun activities. 

Miss Broadwith has recently been teaching us about words like income, expense and interest. My favorite word is interest. because when you leave money in your savings account for like one year you will gain five percent interest which means if you were to leave one hundred dollars in your savings account for one year it will gain five percent interest and then you will get five dollars for free.

My create task

WALT Create a project with our information that we have gathered. 

Today at school we were making creations with information that we learnt about voyaging and navigation and also some of the facts we learnt about Maori and European history. And guess what I made. I made a criss cross puzzle I found this very interesting and easy to use here is what I made                                                          

                          

Waitangi Pt2

 Last time we went to waitangi we went to see where the treaty was signed/went to the busby house , went on a virtual reality , used a green screen and went on a big walk around waitangi. This time I created a chest that had a spade in in. Then then Karen  put me in the virtual world and it looked like i was standing on the chest that I created I think it looks pretty cool. Then some people made wakas, suitcases, houses, ores and some made chests just like me!

Waitangi Pt 1

 On Friday we went to Waitangi. We saw where the treaty was signed,went to the busby house,went  on a virtual reality, playing around withe some drawing /sculpture platforms and used a green screen. We had a great time!. My favorite was using the green screen it was very fun we had a big green sheet and we were putting it over us and it looked like we had a invisible cloak like harry potter and there was a green screen behind us so it looked like we weren't on earth it was putting us in lava and on a race course.

Moral 13/4/2021

WALT Write a moral.

This term Tui have been learning how to structure a narrative mountain there are 5 columns first two are characters and setting then opening,problem,dilemma,resolution,ending and moral the moral is the one we have been learning about

A moral is a lesson that you learn a the end of a story/narrative mountain like if the story is about someone slipping on a banana peel and breaking a bone the moral would be always look at where you are walking

.

 Today we were using narrative mountains for structuring our writing.

 I found it very interesting because there is layers which most writing doesn't have layers in it. i would love to do it again . This is probably one of the most fun tasks i have ever done.

Kiwi can 18/3/2021

 Today at Kiwican we played 2 different games one of them was called Hungry hungry hippos in this game we have a cone,skateboard and a ice cream container and the aim of this game was that there is a big bag of ball pit balls and you had to go in with your skateboard lying down or sitting on it and someone in your team pushed you into the middle. You had to get a ball and put it in your container and get back to your team and give them the balls. One ball equals one point whoever gets the most points wins.The second game is called bear,salmon,mosquito. How this game works is when your team chooses a pose which the options are bear,salmon,mosquito. our team won one time and surprisingly I was the leader that round. I found the game pretty fun i would definitely play it again if i could.

"I found this sort of difficult and hard for me to learn". "But I will know how to do it next time and now I think I got the hang of it".

WALT understand and use similes  and  metaphors to help describe and explain abstract ideas

 "This week I was reading two poems called My Gran dad's Hands and Huia"." I had to write a poem about an abstract noun that describes the stories". "And it was super fun I did two of them"." I also learnt about abstract nouns an abstract noun is like an emotion it is something that you can't see or touch"." But an concrete is something that you can see and that is solid".
